Lakeside Carpentry is owned by Monica and Jeremy LaVigne. They live in a small log home north of St. Croix Falls, WI by the town of Eureka Center.
Jeremy grew up in the small town of Foley, MN. He first worked as a carpenter/helper for Corrigan Construction. He worked there during the summers throughout his high school years, learning the trade. After high school, he went on to college at North Dakota State University on a wrestling scholarship. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences Ed. As well as All-American honors as a collegiate wrestler. In the summer, he worked as a lead carpenter for Harold’s Construction and Mahan Construction, Inc. in Fargo, ND.
Jeremy moved to the Saint Croix Valley area in 1997, after being offered a position to teach science and coach wrestling at Chisago Lakes Schools. In the summertime, he continued building as a self-employed carpenter. Jeremy earned his Master’s in Education during his 3 years teaching science. Realizing that building was his true passion, he went into building full time and started Lakeside Carpentry in 2000.
Jeremy and his family spend their free time enjoying nature and the outdoors. The Saint Croix Valley is the perfect home for a family that loves the outdoors!
